Expert Solution
Step 1

The prostate gland is defined as a small rubbery gland of the male reproductive system and is present between the bladder and the penis and is present in front of the rectum.

This gland play a major role in secreting the fluid that nourishes and protects the sperm. The muscles of the prostrate also play a major role in ensuring that the semen is forcefully pressed in to the urethra and is expelled out during the ejaculation.
