Pacific Asia comprises industrialized nations like Japan, South Korea Australia, and New Zealand which rank very high in almost all indicators including the Human Development Index, Ease of Doing Business, and hosts some of the best places to live in. However, China and Indonesia are among the most populous countries here and hence are home to a huge population of the younger generations. They have the capacity, opportunity, and capability to utilize their demographic dividend and thus their GDPs have been growing constantly at very high rates. Also, the area has many trade blocs like ASEAN and TPP and the recently concluded RCEP which caters to more than 70% of the world's trade.
These areas are thus home to most of the rapidly industrializing cities and regions like Shanghai, Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Darwin, Melbourne, Sydney, Wellington, etc. Recently Russia has also invested in the upliftment of the Kamchatka peninsula through the East Economic Forum.
