Sub-Saharan Africa is geographically and ethnoculturally. It is the region of the continent of Africa that lies on the South of the Sahara. As reported by the United Nations, it comprises all African countries and territories that are wholly or partially South of the Sahara.
The landforms from rift valleys to hills to deserts, Sub-Saharan Africa includes a large diversity of climate zones and precipitation patterns.
