It is important to note that our society is not equal in terms of access and distribution of resources. Some people are more privileged and occupy a dominant position while others are not highly ranked. The ones who are given upper hand in the society are able to mend things according to their way while the ones who are less privileged suffer in the society. Their are number of criteria which determines position of people in the society. It includes age, sex, gender, race, class, caste, ethnicity, nationality, disability and others.
