The basic fundamental difference between males and females is the reproductive system and its organs. Male have testis as their reproductive organ. Spermatozoa are the male gamete produced by the testis. Females have ovaries as their reproductive organs. Ova or egg is the female gamete.

Step 2

A mature sperm consists of 3 parts: head, middle piece, and tail

Head contains the nucleus. The Head is covered by a cap-like structure called Acrosome which is derived from the Golgi apparatus. The acrosome contains enzymes to penetrate the ovum during the fertilization process.
NECK: It contains centrioles which are attached to the middle piece.
Middle piece packed with mitochondria, which gives the energy to sperm to move.
The tail of the sperm undulates like a propeller for swimming. The tail has long flagella that push the sperm forward to enter the uterus.
