Expert Solution
Step 1

Introduction:- New York is the most populous city in the United States, and is often referred to as New York City (NYC) to distinguish it from the state of New York. In addition, New York City is the most densely populated major city in the United States. New York City is a global cultural, financial, and media center with a large impact on commerce, entertainment, research, and technology.

Landscape:- Sections of New York's granite bedrock date back about 100 million years, but the city's current topography is largely the result of the glacial recession that marked the end of the Wisconsin Glacial Stage about 10,000 years ago. The approximately 600 miles (1,000 km) of New York shoreline is constantly at odds with the sea.

Climate and Weather:- Summers in New York City are warm, humid, and wet; winters are very cold, snowy, and windy; and it is partly cloudy all year. Throughout the year, the temperature typically ranges from 28°F to 85°F, with temperatures rarely falling below 14°F or rising above 92°F.
