Expert Solution
Step 1: 4G and 5G

The most recent cellular network standard, 4G, was introduced in the late 2000s and is 500 times faster than 3G. High-definition mobile TV, video conferencing, and many other things have been supported by it. The highest speed of a gadget can range between 10 and 100 megabits per second depending on whether it is stationary or in motion, such as when you are driving or walking while using your phone. The maximum speed for the 20MHz bandwidth sector is 400Mbps. However, because customers are sharing the available sector capacity with other users, the actual speed that consumers experience is often between 10 and 100 mbps.

By 2024, it's projected that up to 24 billion gadgets will require cellular network support as more people gain access to mobile devices and as the Internet of Things grows. Herein comes the role of 5G.

Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM), network slicing and huge multiple input, multiple output are just a few of the new characteristics and capabilities that come with 5G.

In addition to replacing LTE, 5G also brings a new standard called 5G New Radio (NR). The finest element of LTE will be built upon by 5G NR, which will also bring new advantages like increased connection and greater energy savings for connected devices.
