Volcano and volcanic hazards (Question 1)

Note: Since you have posted a question with multiple subparts, we will solve the first three subparts for you. To get the remaining subparts solved, please repost the complete question and mention the subparts to be solved.

Volcano

A volcano is a crack or rupture in the crust of the Earth through which lava flows into the surface. Volcanoes are formed by the movement of tectonic plates beneath the Earth's surface. The property of the lava that reaches the surface is determined by its chemical composition and gaseous content. The lava that is rich in silica content shows high viscosity and a low spreading rate. The lava with low silica content shows a high spreading rate.

Volcanic hazard

A volcanic hazard is defined as any volcanic activity that causes danger to human lives. The primary hazard caused by a volcano is pyroclastic flow. Volcanoes emit dangerous gases into the atmosphere during emission.
