Describe how lymph vessels and lymph nodes develop
Lymph is referred to as a clear whitish fluid that comprises a high amount of white blood cells and is very crucial in generating the immune response. The extracellular fluid diffuses into the lymph vessels and then enters the lymph nodes forming lymph.
The development of lymphatic vessels begins by the initiation of the sixth week in embryonic development from the lymph sacs. The development of lymph sacs occurs from the veins derived from the mesoderm layer of the embryo. The development of primitive lymph sacs occurs from the endothelial cell and then the formation of bud occurs that forms branches and a vast network of lymphatic vessels. The development of lymph nodes begins when the condensation of mesenchyme occurs which comprises capillaries and mesenchymal cells.
