In addition, information technology as a set of generated ideas provided through software mechanisms to employees and organisations plays a significant role in human resources development. Accordingly, information technology plays an effective role in developing professional skills, contributing to the institutionalisation of change and innovation, and the improvement of cognitive skills. The use of information technology in a profession is called operational application. Preparing payroll lists, issuing personnel orders, forecasting inventory, production planning, distribution and allocation of labour, industrial costing, and other specialised tasks are included in the operational applications of information technology.
