Describe a responsibility matrix and how it is used.

A responsibility matrix, of which the RACI Matrix is the most well-known type, shows how much responsibility different roles or people have for completing tasks or delivering what a project, process, or effort needs.
For each task or deliverable, the matrix assigns a level of responsibility to each role or person. Since there may be more than one person filling a role, or a single person may fill multiple roles, it is most common to assign tasks to a role rather than a specific individual. However, when there are multiple individuals filling the same role (for example, multiple business analysts) and the tasks assigned to those individuals are not expected to overlap significantly, it may be preferable to use actual names rather than roles. This is especially true if there is any chance that people might get confused about their exact roles.
