Interest Groups are usually defined as advocacy group s, or non profit organisations , sharing similar policy related concerns. In a democratic setup the presence of interest groups serve as a feedback loop in a systems model as propounded by David Easton .
Other than the parliamentary representatives , these interest groups are non state entities who effect policy making decisions. They are very powerful in the American political scene , because of their lobby making potential ,and also the support that they provide to party contesting during elections.
