Expert Solution
Step 1

Intensive properties are those properties whose value do not change with the amount of substance.

For example:  Temperature, density, surface tension,  viscosity etc.

If we measure the temperature of either 10 mL water or 100 mL water , it would come out to be same at same conditions.

On the other hand , we have some extensive properties whose value change with amount of substance.

For example: Mass , Volume etc .

Mass of any substance is directly dependent on the amount. If amount is higher than mass would also be higher.
