Define the terms fluid balance, electrolyte balance, and acid-base balance, discuss their importance for homeostasis, and describe how water and electrolytes are distributed within the body.
FLUID BALANCE : it is an aspect of the organisms in which the amount of water in the organisms needs to be controlled , via osmoregulation and behavior such that the concentration of electrolytes in the various body fluids are kept within healthy ranges .
ELECTROLYTE BALANCE : the levels of electrolyte in our body can become too low or too high . This can happen when the amount of water in the body changes . The amount of water that we take in should be equal to the amount that we lose . I something disturbs this balance we may have too little water or too much water .
ACID BASE BALANCE : -our blood needs the right balance of acidic and basic compounds to function properly . This is called as acid base balance . Our kidneys and lungs work to maintain the acid base balance .
