Define the term homogeneous linear elastic material?

A linear elastic material is the one that obeys Hooke's law i.e. in which the strain is directly proportional to stress up to the elastic limit. Since, the stress-strain relationship in these materials is linear up to the elastic limit, hence the material is called linear elastic material.
A homogeneous material is the one that has the same composition throughout and cannot be separated mechanically into various materials. Also homogeneous material is the one in which properties are independent of the point i.e. in a particular direction the value of any property is the same throughout the material.
