define ethnic work.

Expert Solution
INTRODUCTION

People in the society are stratified into different ethnic groups, classes, and castes, etc. based on their cultural values and the socio-economic position they occupy in the society. There is a hierarchical structure in each categorization where the group ranked high in the structure enjoys dominance over the other groups in the hierarchy.

EXPLANATION

Ethnic work is a combination of activities designed to enhance, maintain, and transmit the ethnic and racial identity of a particular group. The people who form strong ethnic identities maintain their distinction from the other groups in terms of their food, clothing, the language they use to communicate, religious practices, etc. There are several ethnic groups in many parts of the world. Race and ethnicity are both contrasting terms. In many societies, race and ethnicity are attributed to the people are the are discriminated against by the dominant groups in a particular geographical region. for example, in American society, the people from the African racial groups where there are several ethnic groups who have migrated to America due to the impact of their ancestor's migration are discriminate historically on the grounds of race and their ethnic belonging. The cultures and ritual practices that they perform are treated as uncivilized by the dominant groups, and they tend to feel the requirement of the domain group to civilize the ethnic groups in different parts of the world. Most of the tribal groups are also part of different ethnic groups where they have unusual ritual practices, customs, and beliefs that differ from the other ethnic groups.
