Define Competing Species ?
Competition- It is a type of cooperation where both the species suffer. It involves struggle among organisms for the sources like water ,food, space , sunlight etc.
The competition occurs due to limited resources between closely related species.
Competition is of two types-
1) Intraspecific competition- It is also known as intranecine. In this case competition belongs to same species. This competition occurs due to limited resources between closely related species. It is a competition that belongs to the same kind of species and it is more intense because the competitors have the similar body structure and skills. To establish their own territories and ensure the availability of resources becomes tougher for plants as well as animals. This competition also controls the population by decreasing the birthrate and an increase in death rate.
