A z-score describes the position of a raw score in terms of its distance from the mean, when measured in standard deviation units. Z-scores range from -3 standard deviations and up to +3 standard deviations. If the value lies outside this limit, then the point is said to be an outlier. A T-score is similar to a Z- score. It also represents the number of standard deviation from the mean. The T-score has a greater value and returns results from between 0 to 100 (most scores will fall between 20 and 80).
