This project involves research and preparation of a one to two-page double-spaced paper on the following topic: Counterfeit Drugs
Prince died from what he thought was Vicodin but was later discovered to be a counterfeit drug laced with fentanyl. A young man, experiencing a bit of anxiety
and unable to sleep was offered and took a quarter of a Xanax tablet (a mild sedative normally used to treat anxiety) from a friend and died.
It was discovered even though the pill looked real and was stamped with the pill press markings and word Xanax, it was, in fact, counterfeit and was laced with
fentanyl.
For this project research the problem with counterfeit drugs, why they exist and the public health issues they cause.
