Expert Solution
INTRODUCTION

RED BLOOD CELLS- Hemoglobin is a protein found in red blood cells, sometimes referred to as erythrocytes, that carries oxygen to your body's tissues. Your tissues release carbon dioxide as oxygen is converted to energy. Red blood cell is produced in the bone marrow and is present in the blood.

Significance - Life-sustaining oxygen is transported throughout your body mostly by red blood cells. However, if your body produces an excessive amount, it may cause your blood to thicken and slow down, increasing your risk of blood clots.

WHITE BLOOD CELLS- Your body's defence against infection is provided by white blood cells, also referred to as leukocytes. White blood cells circulate in your blood and respond to damage or illness as a component of your immune system.

The three different types of white blood cells are lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils) (T cells and B cells).

Significance- They protect your body from infections and sickness and are made in your bone marrow. However, if there are too many white blood cells, your body is likely infected or inflammatory. Uncommon blood malignancies and bone marrow issues may be indicated by a high white blood cell count.

PLATELETS- Our blood contains tiny, colourless cell fragments called platelets, or thrombocytes, which form clots to slow or halt bleeding. The sponge-like tissue inside our bones called bone marrow is where platelets are created.

Significance - Blood clots may develop in your blood arteries as a result of an excessive platelet count. This might prevent blood from moving through your body. High platelet counts without any other underlying medical conditions are referred to as thrombocythemia. Primary or essential thrombocythemia are other names for this illness.
