In BFS, the search is done breadth-wise, i.e, at a particular level, all nodes are explored or searched, and then the control moves the next level and then in same manner, the search is continued until the goal node achieved. 

Now, in this case, the starting node A is in the first level, and the goal node is at the last level. So if we proceed with BFS, then all the nodes present in the graph are explored and at last, the goal node z is achieved. So it takes a lot of time.
