In statistics, the counting principle can be said to be the concept in which the quantity of an item is determined. There can be a single item, or a group of items, or items that are related to each other. In every possible set of items, the quantity of the possible item groups or their sorting measures can be determined with counting principles.

Question

Two friends Alice and Bob play the following game. Alice first flips a fair coin. If the coin lands Heads then Bob has to flip a fair coin. If both coins land Heads then the game proceeds to the next round where they again go through the same protocol. As soon as someone lands a Tails, the game ends and the other person is declared the winner. In each round Alice always goes first. Compute each player’s probability of winning the game.
