Maggie has been a swimmer ever since she was a young child. Although she hasn’t been the best swimmer on her team, she really enjoys competing and getting and giving encouragement from and to her team mates. Once Maggie entered high school, she tried out for the swim team, but did not make it on the team her freshmen or sophomore year. She has still continued to swim on a local neighborhood team, where her coach and parents continue to encourage her to improve by working hard on her technique and strength. Maggie is now a junior, and she’s debating whether or not to try out for the team once again.
