Name of bacteria chosen is Lactobacillus plantarum

They are long rod shaped bacillus bacteria with round ends length ranging from 3 to 8 micrometre and 0.9 to 1.2 micrometre wide. It is a Gram positive bacteria (cell wall is rich in peptidoglycan) and do not produce spores. They may occur single, or seen as pairs or arranged in short chains.
They obtain its energy from metabolizing carbohydrates and produces lactic acid as byproduct. It degrades sugars and pyruvates producing carbon which is used as an energy source. This process happens in an environment where there is no oxygen.
It grows well on pH 3.4 to 8.8. This bacteria reproduces asexually by binary fission.
The close relatives of Lactobacillus palntarum are Lactobacillus brevis and Lactobacillus pentosus.
It is a probiotic bacteria which helps in maintaining good gut health. It ferments milk and other food products. It is a lactic acid bacteria.
