pH of the solution after addition of 25 ml. of KOH = ?
Step 2
50 ml of 0.200 M of HNO2 titrated with the 25 ml of 0.400 M of KOH.
The reaction between the HNO2 and the KOH titration gives KNO2.
Number of mmol of HNO2 = 50 ml x 0.200 M = 10 mmol
Number of mmole of KOH = 25 ml x 0.400 M = 10 mmol
That is complete neutralisation takes place and the mixture contains 10 mmol of KNO2 in 75 ml of the solution.
