Expert Solution
Step 1

Given : mass of NaCl = 8.77 g

Volume of NaCl solution = 20 mL = 0.020 L                                                       (since 1 L = 1000 mL)

Since molar mass of NaCl = Atomic mass of Na + Atomic mass of Cl = 23 + 35.5 = 58.5 g/mol

And since mass = moles X molar mass

=> 8.77 = moles of NaCl X 58.5

=> moles of NaCl = 0.150 mol approx

Since moles of NaCl = concentration of NaCl X volume of NaCl solution in L

=> 0.150 = concentration of NaCl X 0.020

=> concentration of NaCl = 7.50 M approx
