can someone help me calculate the theoretical yeild for the synthesis of biodiesel oil used: 12 ml 0.38 g NaOH 3.5 ml methanol apparently the methoxide is in excess so im confused as to how the theoretical yeild will be calculated Vegetable oil density = -0.917 g/mL Vegetable oil MW = - 876 g/mol ((There is no defined molecular weight for all vegetable oil, but an average molecular weight is used for calculations)) Biodiesel MW = ~293 g/mol Biodiesel density = 0.88 g/mol
