The neuron is the brain's fundamental functioning organ, a specialized cell capable of passing on data to other nerves, muscle, or gland cells. Neurons are cells that transmit signals to other nerve cells, muscle, or gland cells within the nervous system. The bulk of neurons have a body of cells, an axon, and dendrites.
d. Nucleus: An oval structured membrane-bound framework located in the neuron's soma or body is the neuron's nucleus. The nucleolus and chromosomes that are essential for the coded development of proteins inside the cell are included.
e. The Schwann cell's nucleus: It plays a role in maintaining and regenerating motor and sensory neurons from the peripheral nervous system and supply of nutrients to each nerve fiber.
f. The node of Ranvier: The gap in the myelinated axon increases the speed of propagation along the axon through saltatory conduction.
g. Axon terminal: It plays a primary role in the secretion of neurotransmitters of presynaptic cells. It secretes in the gap of the terminal and dendritic of the next axon.
