Sigmund Freud, Father of Psychology had given the Psycho-analytic theory and throw the light on the unconscious aspect of human mind and also focuses on the childhood sexuality.
His Psychoanalytic theory proposes that unconscious play a vital role in the determination of one's abnormal behavior. According to him, unconscious aspect contain memories that are painful, hurting, unresolved childhood conflicts, etc.
Although such memories can't be remembered, but they may have an effect on the conscious part of the personality.
Freud believe that people's abnormal behavior may be the result of unconscious conflicts. He totally ignores the social, cultural, environmental perspectives to determine/evaluate one's behavior or personality.
