Vapor Pressure : The pressure exerted by the gas when it is in equilibrium with a solid or liquid at a given temperature is called the vapor pressure.
Vapor Pressure of Solution : A solution is made of solute and solvent particles. The vapor pressure of a solution is the pressure exerted by the vapor produced above the surface of the solution when both the liquid phase and the vapor phase are present in equilibrium with each other.
Therefore the vapor pressure produced is inversely proportional to the number of solute particles. In other words, more number of solute particles, lower will be the vapor pressure and vice versa.
