Answer D,E,F only. Thank you.

Answer (a).

Arrange the observations in ascending order.

The 55th percentile can be calculated as,

Pk=kn+1th100P55=5545+1100=25.3=25th+0.326th-25th=1049+0.3(1063-1049)=1053.2

The 9th decile can be calculated as,

Dk=kn+1th10D9=945+110=41.4=41th+0.442th-41th=1250+0.4(1250-1217)=1230.2

The 3rd quartile can be calculated as,

Qk=kn+1th4Q3=345+14=34.5=34th+35th2=1157+11572=1157

Answer (b).

The two observations 521 and 785 are deleted because these observations does not lie in given class interval.

The class width is calculated as,

class width=maximum-minimumnumber of intervals=1340-8017=77

According to class width the class intervals and frequency table is given as,

class interval frequency
801-878 5
878-955 11
955-1032 5
1032-1109 7
1109-1186 7
1186-1263 5
1263-1340 3
