How do you think this influence translates to True Crime Events? https://youtu.be/ZpjWioF6iMo Discussion post 1. How does the Media Influence Public Perception? * The media influence public perception in multiple ways, the first thing that comes to mind would be the good old newspaper, which one can argue is the first form of mass media. People are wired to seek information. Ever wonder why some information gets out and other information doesn’t? Media produces to shape people’s mindset. It gets the masses to think or act a certain way. if the newspaper article is filled with the rhetorical approach it should captivate the mind and draw a person in and spark a neuron to contribute to a person thinking. And once that happens opinions form. Now in today’s social media can come at you in so many angles, visually, through words in the form of a jingle etc, but also it’s the amount of time you see and hear the information the media is pushing out that shapes perceptions. 2. 1.

2. How do you think this influence translates to True Crime Events?

* The influence translates to true crime by getting the information out there that the world can be curled. From a true-crime approach, I feel the message was meant to hit the core. Letting people know that things like this can and do happen. I feel like the media’s mission here was really to make women aware of some of the things that happen when they find themselves in uncharted territory and always keep their guard up. And for the person observing the situation! He or she should check it out without being too assertive.
