Equations and Inequations
Equations and inequalities describe the relationship between two mathematical expressions.
Linear Functions
A linear function can just be a constant, or it can be the constant multiplied with the variable like x or y. If the variables are of the form, x2, x1/2 or y2 it is not linear. The exponent over the variables should always be 1.
Ratio : Generally, Ratios are explained based on the fractions. The ratio of two numbers a to b is written as a : b or a/b. Here " : " is defined as Ratio (i.e., it is the notation to the ratio). From the Ratio we can define how many times one number contains another number.
Proportion: Proportion is defined as the equality(=) between the two ratios i.e., a : b = c : d. Simply, we can say the ratios are equal.
