The samples statistics is the parameters which we obtain only through the samples that we collect for the experiment. It give us the rough estimates of the population and has some margin of error associated with it.
The population parameters give us the detail of whole population and is hard to get as we have to survey the whole population. For the same reason it is expensive, therefore for the large survey we take samples through different sampling methods like Simple random sampling, Stratified sampling or Clustered sampling and etc. to get the idea about the population.
