Gynecomastia is a condition that shows swelling, enlargement, and tenderness of breast tissues in the male individuals. It is usually caused by the increased of estrogen hormone in males or reduced level of male hormone testosterone.
Klinefelter’s syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects only male individuals. In this genetic condition is found from birth in which an affected boy is born with an extra X-chromosome. In this condition instead of usual XY chromosome in boys, they carry XXY chromosome, that’s why this condition is also known as XXY syndrome. This syndrome is characterized by the gynecomastia (swelling and enlargement of breasts) in late puberty, fibrosis of seminiferous tubules, increased levels of urinary gonadotropin, hyalinization, and behavioral concerns.
