batch of 400 components gave a mean diameter of 32-66 mm with a
standard deviation of 0-02 mm. For a production total of 2400
components, calculate:
(a) the limits between which all the diameters are likely to lie
(b) the number of acceptable components if those with diameters less
than 32-62 mm or greater than 32-68 mm are rejected.
