Ratios
A ratio is a comparison between two numbers of the same kind. It represents how many times one number contains another. It also represents how small or large one number is compared to the other.
Trigonometric Ratios
Trigonometric ratios give values of trigonometric functions. It always deals with triangles that have one angle measuring 90 degrees. These triangles are right-angled. We take the ratio of sides of these triangles.
Properties of a rectangle:
1. Opposite sides are parallel and equal.
2. All interior angles are the right angles.
3. Diagonals of a rectangle are equal.
4. Diagonals of a rectangle bisect each other and they divide the rectangle into 4 isosceles triangles.
Vertically opposite angles: If two lines intersect each other, then the vertically opposite angles are equal.
Linear pair: Two angles on the same side of a straight line whose sum is 180 degrees.
Base angles of an isosceles triangle are equal.
Angle sum property: The sum of all interior angles of a triangle is 180 degrees.
If a transversal line intersects two parallel lines, then alternate interior angles are equal.
