5. The following tables given information about the weeki, number of pizzas soid at two outlets of the Pisa Pizza Factory. Outlet A Outlet B minimum pizzas minimum pizzas lower quartile 394 312 lower quartile 429 330 median 448 median 346 362 upper quartile maximum pizzas upper quartile 470 maxinum pizzas 513 408 Select the two statements that are true about the number of pizzas sold at each outlet. I. At least 75% of the time outlet A sells more than outlet B. The number of pizzas sold by outlet B is increasing weekly. The range of outlet A is greater than the range of outlet B. II. II. IV. Outlet A always sells more than outlet B. A. I and II only B. I and HII only C. II and III only D. III and IV only E. II and IV only
Continuous Probability Distributions
Probability distributions are of two types, which are continuous probability distributions and discrete probability distributions. A continuous probability distribution contains an infinite number of values. For example, if time is infinite: you could count from 0 to a trillion seconds, billion seconds, so on indefinitely. A discrete probability distribution consists of only a countable set of possible values.
Normal Distribution
Suppose we had to design a bathroom weighing scale, how would we decide what should be the range of the weighing machine? Would we take the highest recorded human weight in history and use that as the upper limit for our weighing scale? This may not be a great idea as the sensitivity of the scale would get reduced if the range is too large. At the same time, if we keep the upper limit too low, it may not be usable for a large percentage of the population!
