Use the ungrouped data that you have been supplied with to complete the following: (a) Arrange the data into equal classes (b) Determine the frequency distribution (c) Draw the frequency histogram (d) Create a cumulative frequency table for the data (e) Draw the cumulative frequency graph (f) Use your cumulative frequency graph to determine if the data is normally distributed or not? (8) Calculate: i) the mean and standard deviation; ii) the upper and lower quartile values; and ii) the inter- quartile range for the given data. 4.6
Please can you help me. Im struggling to get my head around this.
I have calculated the class width to be 4.9-4.3/6= 0.1
I have arranged the data into 6 equal classes:
4.3-4.4, 4.4-4.5, 4.5-4.6, 4.6-4.7, 4.7-4.8, 4.8-4.9. Is this correct?
To determine the frequency distribution, do I include only those values equal to of greater than the first figure, but less than the second figure? For example, with the class intervals Ive listed above, would the frequency for 4.3-4.4 group be 1 as there is only one value of 4.3 in the given data? In that case, should I have 7 groups ( 4.9-5.0) so the value of 4.9 is included ? I'm confused as Ive asked this question several times and keep being told different answers . Please help me.
