Expert Solution
Step 1

Let mass of one cylinder = 1 Cy

mass of one cone = 1 Co

mass of one sphere = 1 S

and mass of one cube = 1 Cu

Now, according to first figure below:

Advanced Math homework question answer, step 1, image 1

The mass of 1 sphere and 2 cylinders is equal to the mass of 2 cones and 3 cubes, i.e. mathematically

1 S + 2 Cy = 2 Co + 3 Cu                   ...(1)

Similarly, for second figure below:

Advanced Math homework question answer, step 1, image 2

1 Cy + 1 Co = 2 S + 1 Cu                   ...(2)

and for third figure below:

Advanced Math homework question answer, step 1, image 3

6 S = 1 Co + 1 Cu + 1 Cy                   ...(3)

and corresponding to the forth figure below:

Advanced Math homework question answer, step 1, image 4

we want to find the equivalent mass to 4 Co, i.e. 4 Co = ?
