Step 1 Introduction:

Sampling Distribution: Sampling distribution describes the manner in which a statistic or a function of statistics, which is a function of the random sample variate values x1, x2,...,xn will vary from one sample to another sample of the same size. Each sample has its own sample mean and the distribution of the sample means is sampling distribution i.e., as per central limit theorem, means of the samples is equal to the mean of the sampling distribution. The central limit theorem states that the sampling distribution of the sample mean is approximately normal if the sample size is large enough even if the parent distribution is not normal. As sample size increases the sampling distribution of the mean (x-bar) can be approximated by normal distribution with mean μ and standard deviation will be σ/√n.
