States of Matter
The substance that constitutes everything in the universe is known as matter. Matter comprises atoms which in turn are composed of electrons, protons, and neutrons. Different atoms combine together to give rise to molecules that act as a foundation for all kinds of substances. There are five states of matter based on their energies of attraction, namely solid, liquid, gases, plasma, and BEC (Bose-Einstein condensates).
Chemical Reactions and Equations
When a chemical species is transformed into another chemical species it is said to have undergone a chemical reaction. It consists of breaking existing bonds and forming new bonds by changing the position of electrons. These reactions are best explained using a chemical equation.

![### Density and Volume Problems
#### Problem 19
**Bismuth has a density of 9.80 g/mL. What is the mass of 4.32 mL of Bi?**
#### Problem 20
**Tin has a density of 7.28 g/mL. What is the volume of 4.44 kg of Sn?**
These problems involve calculating either the mass or volume of a substance using its density. The formula for these calculations is:
\[ \text{Mass} = \text{Volume} \times \text{Density} \]
and
\[ \text{Volume} = \frac{\text{Mass}}{\text{Density}} \]
For problem 19, apply the formula to find the mass of Bismuth given its volume and density. For problem 20, first convert the mass of tin from kilograms to grams, then use the formula to find the volume.](/v2/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcontent.bartleby.com%2Fqna-images%2Fquestion%2F252e44dd-416d-479e-a3ce-3d7863d6f946%2F0a743da2-c046-4458-8b08-99e1739d910a%2Fc4y2v0m.jpeg&w=3840&q=75)
