The distance is the total path covered from the starting point to finishing point of the journey.

In path A from the starting point travel three block towards North then take a turn towards East travel one block.

Substitute 120 mfor the distance of one block.

The total distance traveled = three block in north + one block in south= (120 m+120 m + 120 m) + (120m)=480 m 

Hence, the distance for path A is480 m.
