Factors that have shaped my beliefs have happened over my lifespan, an example is growing up Melbourne homelessness is obvious, and l have always been told by my parents not to talk or really acknowledge them. I did not understand why but did not really question it, however l always felt like they deserved acknowledgement and should be treated as an equal not a minority, another example that changed my perspective of the homeless is at my previous job. I worked with a man that had previously been homeless and went in depth explaining why and how homeless are in that situation, such as unpleasant divorce resulting in losing everything. Which instigates the down spiral of life.
