In a study of the in vivo effects of cytokines on in vitro clonogenicity assays, a number of rhesus macaques
(of the same age and gender) were randomly assigned to one of three treatment groups. Bone marrow
samples were taken from the monkeys after 10 days, and the number of CD34+ cell colonies determined by
flow cytometry.
The results of the trial are contained in the file Marrow. say, where two variables are listed:

Comment on the appearance of the plot.
Perform an analysis of variance calculation to test the null hypothesis that the mean number of
colonies is the same in all three groups of monkeys, and comment on your results.
Perform both (i) a pairwise comparison with a Bonferonni correction and (ii) a Tukey honest
significant differences analysis to determine where the significant differences lie, and discuss the
results.
