    (a) Their orbital speed.

    (b) The time to orbit Earth.

**Diagram Explanation: Carbon Atom**

This diagram represents a model of a carbon atom. In the center, there is a shaded orange circle, which represents the nucleus of the atom. The nucleus contains protons and neutrons.

Surrounding the nucleus, there is a distinct dashed circle illustrating the electron cloud in which the electrons are distributed. These dashed lines represent the paths of the electrons orbiting the nucleus. The depiction captures a typical structure used for educational purposes to illustrate atomic structure.

Expert Solution
Step 1

The dash lines show three circular orbits about Earth. Rank the following quantities from greatest to least:

    (a) Their orbital speed.

Physics homework question answer, step 1, image 1

So  orbital velocity is V=√(GM/Ro)

Where Ro=radius of the satellite orbit

So speed is inversely propertional to the under root of radius

So among 3 circles arround earth the order of increasing velocity is order of decreasing radius of circular orbit.
