Project Milestone 2
The main Sentence -
The given data appears to contain information related to COVID-19 cases and deaths in
various states or regions. The dataset could be used to analyze the spread of COVID-19,
track changes in cases and deaths over time, compare data across different states.
Chart 1 -

2.
Arvind - Color, Year Label, Subtitle
3.
Kenny: label, color, title
4.

Graph 01:
Graph 01 plots the total cases and the total deaths related to covid. The names of the
states are given in the X-axis and the number in million given in Y-axis. The numbers
in Y-axis is given at an interval of 10 Million each. California appears the province with
the highest number in total cases and total deaths each. A linear type bar chart is
used to extrapolate the data.
Graph 02:
Graph 02 depicts the total cases, new cases, confirmed cases and the confirmed
deaths for all the provinces in the years of 2020, 2021 and 2022. The total case &
confirmed cases are given in billions in the Y-axis and the new cases & the confirmed
deaths are given in millions.
6.
Prasad
Graph 1 :
While examining the figures for total deaths and total number of covid cases, we
make an observation that on an average the total number of deaths account to 0.3% of
total covid cases. This figure is useful to estimate the mortality rate of this virus.
Graph 2:
Observing graph 2 gives us the conclusion that the state of california was affected the
most from 2020-2022 in all the parameters of covid related cases and deaths.
Question 1. Is there any difference between the team members' visual hierarchies?
Answer Yes or No. Then, write a small paragraph explaining your answer
Answer - Yes. Every member of our team has a different perspective of seeing the
chart. Some focused on the label which is mentioned on the graph, some focused on
the data, and also the color of the graph which defines the cases for every year and
for every state. As we can see, the graph shows which state has a high number of
cases and a high number of deaths in a particular year. So, every member has a
different insight about the graph.

Globally, numerous people died in road traffic crashes every year. For the betterment of the public at
large, ways to alleviate the frequency and severity of traffic crashes have been the primary concerns of
many governments. In fact, many traffic crashes can be avoided with the implementation of effective
policies and regulations.
Assume that a dataset is collected for traffic crash analysis. The dataset contains data of severe traffic
crashes between 2015 and 2019 in Australia. The description of the dataset is listed in Table 1.
Suggest two (2) additional variables that can be included in traffic crash analysis. Explain the rationale of
their inclusion.

Survival Status and Heart Rate in the ICUThe dataset ICUAdmissions contains information on a sample of 200 patients being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a hospital. One of the variables is HeartRate and another is Statuswhich indicates whether the patient lived (Status=0) or died (Status=1). The computer output below shows the details of a test to determine whether mean heart rate is different between patients who lived and died. (You should not do any computations. State the hypotheses based on the output, read the p-value off the output, and state the conclusion).
