Lab 3- HOMEWORK Research and Statistics 11 Conduct a one-way between-subjects ANOVA Recall that twenty racecar drivers (10 Ford drivers and 10 Chevy drivers) agreed to conduct two-time trials using traditional Goodyear tires for the first time trial (TT1) and slightly softer Bridgestone tires for the second time trial (TT2). NASCAR drivers of Dodge vehicles were pretty upset when they were not included in the time trials to assess racing tire quality, so data for TT1 and TT2 was also collected for these drivers. In addition, a third time trial (TT3) using Kumho tires was collected for the same Ford, Chevy, and Dodge racecars. TT1 (Goodyear): fastest lap in seconds TT2 (Bridgestone): fastest lap in seconds TT3 (Kumho): fastest lap in seconds AUTO: 1=Ford, 2=Chevy, 3=Dodge a. Determine if there is a difference between the three vehicle makes for the Goodyear tires only (i.e., the first-time trial) b. Use the file “Lab 3 homework.sav” which is located on Canvas. c. Use steps a-f from practice exercise 3 for TT1. d. Repeat steps e and f for TT2. e. Repeat steps e and f for TT3. f. ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: 1. The appropriate analysis for this research design would be a -subjects ANOVA (circle one) between 2. Fill in the following information: Hp: ul=u2=u3 H,: not all u are equal *Hint: the statistical hypotheses are the same for all three-time trials 3. For TTI1, which hypothesis is supported by the analysis (circle one)
