Did he have a criminal record? Was there evidence of him being in Madrid, Spain at the time of the bombing? They matched the print to an Algerian national. I couldn’t find the rest of these answers in the text. 7. (8 points) What were the U.S. committees’ findings on how the mismatch occurred. What were the corrective actions? The committee found numerous systematic issues with latent fingerprinting. The committee has since implemented revisions in training and the decision-making process determining the value of a latent print. 8. (4 points) Describe an interesting fact that you learned in this assignment. I found it interesting that the FBI allows employees to be forced to make a decision that may taint a senior or retired superior. I feel that an opinion from an outside organization would be much better at the ability to be a check and balance for the original opinion.
