while studying deck 2 of SAFMEDS for ABA 630. The acquisition accel data over the week is
presented with a high level, no trend, this is presented with high variability. The variability is due to two reasons, one the accel of 19 is due to me accidentally pressing correct for the last term card before the timer ended and the second reason is because there were 2 bounces: on the 11/23 and 11/25. The last accel data point for the week was 16, indicating that AIM was met. The acquisition decel data is presented with low level, no trend, and moderate variability.

th
. As shown above, the fluency accel is staying at a high level, with no trend and with moderate variability and 2 bounces. The variability is hypothesized to be related to me taking too long to answer the cards on those days. Although with these results, fluency was still maintained throughout the week. The fluency decel is present at a low level, with no trend, and low variability.
Study Approach and Adjustments
Antecedent:
My current study schedule has shown to be effective over deck 2. The first step was
to set my weekly goal to be 15 which is AIM. With that being said, I determined my reinforcers for the week, and if this goal is met by Saturday, I then can get reinforced by having Saturday night be a study free night and go out with my husband. Another goal I set for myself is that if I sustain meeting AIM for the week, I can spend a few hours out with my mom on Saturday early afternoon. My current reinforcement procedures include one, being reinforced by completing the SAFMEDS cards study time and inputting the data by 1:30 am. Additional procedures include studying 4 days per week for 10-15 minutes by reading through flashcards I made of Deck 2 by saying the terms/definitions out loud. The last procedure I can do is use the “study mode” on the SAFMEDS app after studying the flashcards then do my timings for an additional 10 minutes. If I am successful with the last two procedures, I can reinforce my behavior to be able to go out with my husband and spend time with my mom.
Behavior
: For five days this week, I ran five 30-second timings and entered the best data points into Precision X. For my fluency deck 2 from previous SAFMEDS decks, I ran three to five 30-second timings across all 5 days of the week. The data is analyzed for fluency with the previous decks from ABA 620 to ABA 630. With the timings, maintaining fluency, I was content of being able to
still reach AIM with the fluency deck while also being able to reach AIM with deck 2 of SAFMEDS in ABA 630.
Consequence
: Following my last best timing, I entered the data into Precision X immediately. I looked at the data for the week and the deck to see if AIM was sustained throughout week 5
.
This
week’s acquisition accel data had high variability while AIM was met. At the end of week 5, I met my weekly accel goal of 15 and was reinforced with no studying on Saturday night and was able spend time with my husband. I was also successful in maintaining AIM and was reinforced with being able to go out on Saturday and spend time with my mom for a few hours. With being successful with studying and inputting my scores before 1:30 am every weeknight, I was able to be reinforced by being with my husband and mom Saturday.
Adjustments
: Due to the accel meeting AIM for week 5, I will continue to use the current studying procedures with the week 6 of SAFMEDS with the third deck and start doing my timings more during the regular time of 4-10 pm to continue through Monday-Friday.
